A Brief Plea for Sanity

Alexander Pope once said,
"A little learning is a dangerous thing;
drink deep, or taste not the Pierian spring:
there shallow draughts intoxicate the brain,
and drinking largely sobers us again."
If you wonder why the world increasingly seems composed of intoxicated brains the answer may lie in how swiftly satisfied we are with our little sips of knowledge followed quickly by enormous gulps of inference.

James 1:19 "My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry,"...and perhaps slower yet to post.
